Das Biest (Robby Benson) hat mit Weihnachten nichts am Hut. In seinem Domizil soll nichts an das fröhliche und besinnliche Fest erinnern. Wer sich nicht daran hält, der könnte den Ärger des Biestes heraufbeschwören. Die schöne Belle (Paige O'Hara) aber glaubt an den Zauber von Weihnachten und möchte das Biest mit der feierlichen Atmosphäre überzeugen. Bei ihren Planungen kann Belle auf die Hilfe ihrer Freunde wie Lumiere (Jerry Orbach), Angelique (Bernadette Peters) oder Madame Pottine (Angela Lansbury) zählen. Aber die sinistre Orgel Forte (Tim Curry) fürchtet um ihren Einfluss beim Biest. Denn nur ein unglückliches Biest lässt sich von Forte kontrollieren.
